The Outlook for Thursday

Our favourite quote is from Mrs Cardno who lives in Te Anau who says "We have had lots and lots of rain". Love it!
Thoughts turn to what 120 trampers who were evacuated from the Milford Track, after over 700 millimetres fell might be saying........ "we did lots and lots of walking?".
Metservice says the rain is due to ease Wednesday morning in the region.
Their guess is as good as mine.

Thanks Xero

A huge thanks to Larissa Paris from Xero for enduring "one of the worst flights" of her life to come to our part of the country to talk about Xero.
An amazing spread was put on by 8Fiftycc Cafe and the Xero presentation provoked some thoughtful conversation amongst the attendees.
For us this was a valuable opportunity to speak directly with people about both their accounting and their systems.
Thanks again Larissa for your time and good luck with the Partner Forum and flight home. It's not as scary on the way out!

Bake it till you make it winners

With the presence of celebrity judges and on the spot cooking demonstrations followed by a serious eating fest we are considering our first Bake off to be a huge success.
Taking out the award for "Best Sweet" was Phillippa Findlay. Her Banoffi Pie was described as pure decadence by Ed from Radio Wanaka. "Best Savoury" was awarded to Michelle, our treasured Receptionist who tantilised our taste buds with an outrageously yummy thin crust pizza. Awards were presented by Sue Drummond, Wanaka's own TVNZ Masterchef contestant.
All in all, a really great time was had, too much was eaten and ideas are rolling for next years event!
